Here is the 2010 camp report by Joey Cottrell:
On the 22nd of November some of the Year 8 and 9’s loaded the bus for an awesome week at Rubicon Outdoor Education Centre. Everyone was so excited to do all the activities so the bus ride was a lot of fun. We finally reached our destination and met up with Echuca College who were staying there as well. I don’t think anyone knew how big of a week we had ahead. During the week we got in to all of the activities including an awesome rock climbing wall, exhilarating horserides, challenging highropes, extreme rafting and heaps of team activities. After doing all the activities we had a whole day to do our choice of rafting, horseriding or mountain biking, which had everyone exhausted by the end. The next morning we dragged our tired bodies out of bed to pack and then go on a crazy roggaining course in a massive hilly paddock where we ran miles and miles with lots of snake encounters along the way. Apart from being tired from the fun, Rubicon Camp was FANTASTIC!!

At the Beach camp, students are introduced to -

  • snorkelling
  • surfing
  • canoeing
  • surf swimming
  • kayaking
  • boogie boarding
  • environmental education
