School Snowsports Program 2016

This year’s snowsports program gives the opportunity for students to improve their skills in downhill skiing, snowboarding and freestyle cross country. This year’s program includes five days downhill and five afternoons of cross country at Falls Creek and one day of downhill at Mount Hotham. Thanks to Falls Creek Resort Management and Falls Creek Ski Lifts for their ongoing support of our program and of course our parent volunteers. Forms are due in 19th May. More information about the snowsports program can be found here.

Year 12 Biology: Lab Practical Experience

Mr Matheson’s year 12 Biology class experienced a fantastic, although long, day trip to the Parkville Science Precinct. Here the students received practical experience at working in a lab guided by recently graduated scientists working in industry who were quizzed by our students about future career paths. Students worked on projects such as looking at the energy requirements of cancer cells in order to multiply and hypothesised on possible ways to treat the disease.

This trip was fully sponsored by GTAC at University High School. Our most sincere thanks goes to them for providing such a great opportunity.
